The Muscle Minimum Check

Two questions decide whether you keep your muscle on and off GLP-1s. Did each meal clear the leucine threshold? Did you lift hard enough this week? Find out in about four minutes.

Step 1 – Yesterday's meals

Pick an ordinary day. Add the foods that carried protein in each meal, and set the portion. You don't need to weigh anything. The usual portion is shown under each food.

Step 2 – The last seven days of lifting

A hard set is a set where the last 2 to 3 reps felt genuinely challenging. If you finished a set of 10 and could have done 5 more, it doesn't count.

Lower body hard sets

Squats, lunges, deadlifts, hip thrusts, step-ups, leg press.

Upper body hard sets

Presses, push-ups, rows, pull-downs, shoulder presses.
